Continental Fan’s UDVL Upblast Roof Ventilators are designed to provide aerodynamically efficient performance and a low silhouette design. The ventilators are constructed with a heavy duty welded steel base, galvanized butterfly damper section, and a spark resistant cast aluminum airfoil axial impeller.
Air Solution Co. has introduced a Cottonwood Filter Screen and Hail Guard System. The system can stop hail and debris from causing problems in an HVAC system. They are compatible with all equipment makes and models and can protect air coils, air-handling units, cooling towers, louvers, and more.
Carrier has added a new product to its AquaForce line of chillers with the introduction of the 30XA with Greenspeed Intelligence. The company says the addition of Greenspeed Intelligence will help consulting engineers and building owners meet the efficiency demands of today and the future.
Greenheck’s new Vektor®-MS inline mixed flow laboratory exhaust fan is designed to reduce fan energy in demand-based laboratory exhaust applications and safely allows variable frequency drives to be applied to laboratory exhaust fans. Featuring Sure-Aire™ noninvasive flow monitoring, the Vektor-MS responds to changes in airflow and static pressure in an occupied space, causing the fan’s operation to adjust throughout the day based on demand while the variable geometry discharge nozzle modulates to maintain constant discharge velocity at the fan exit.
Aquatherm’s polypropylene-random (PP-R) piping systems now feature a straight, threadless transition from PP-R pipe to copper sweated connections. This new transition allows for installations to be more easily fitted out entirely in PP-R, particularly on commercial and industrial plumbing applications using Aquatherm.
Paxton Corp. has introduced the V43 stainless steel control valve in sizes .5 in to 2 in NPT. The V43 has been tested by an independent laboratory and found to comply with the new federal, low lead law, ANSI/NSF 372-2011, maximum 0.25% lead.
LG Electronics USA has announced the U.S. availability of the LG Multi V Water IV water source unit, a new VRF HVAC system that comes in two configurations: heat pump and heat recovery. Both systems can accommodate up to 64 thermal zones with technology that allows the user to pipe farther, reaching distant areas of a building.
Tate has introduced the Tate Airflow, a new brand for data center products and services. According to the company, the Tate Airflow is comprehensive range of products that will help improve data center operation and flexibility from small scale enterprise to large scale colocation and public cloud data centers.
Armstrong Fluid Technology has introduced a new chiller plant automation system targeted at optimizing the performance of air-cooled chiller plants. The company says the IPC 9511 streamlines plant operations and can lower operating costs. Facility managers and engineers can benefit from this fully field-configurable solution with automation features for constant speed and variable speed configurations.
Desert Aire has unveiled its new Q-Pump Inverter + that uses a variable speed driven compressor. The Q-Pump Inverter + is incorporated into DOAS that are being installed on a geothermal, hybrid or tower/boiler loop, and delivers conditioned air to a building optimizing the performance of its heating and cooling systems. The Q-Pump Inverter + replaces Desert Aire’s Q-Pump.
