RAE Coils announces the launch of its new Insulated Coil Boxes, designed for applications where maintaining different room temperatures is necessary. Unlike traditional HVAC systems, where temperature is controlled on an equipment level, the RAE Coils Insulated Coil Boxes are capable of controlling temperatures on a per-room basis. This equipment is ideally designed for use in pharmaceutical processing, food storage, healthcare, and high-rise building applications.
Greenheck’s new Model GWAE self-cleaning Auto Scrubber Hood System cleans both sides of the filters in place along with the inside of the exhaust plenum. Company officials said this eliminates the need for daily removal and cleaning, reducing operating costs and increasing worker safety. The reduction of grease build-up on the filters, ductwork and fans decreases fire potential as well.
Optimum Energy has released its new patented OptimumEDGE™ product. The company says the product is a quick-start HVAC optimization solution that shaves energy use by 13% on average — and cuts water use as well — without affecting building operations or occupant comfort.
The Luxaire Eclipse rooftop replacement solution from Johnson Controls now offers 10-ton XX packaged heat pumps and 3- to 5-ton ZQ 14 SEER air conditioning units. Similar to other products in the Eclipse series, the units feature an exact-fit replacement design that matches the units to footprints of other manufacturers’ units. The company says this reduces installation time, cost, and complexity by eliminating the need for a curb adapter.
Lochinvar is introducing an addition to its Power-Fin line with the Power-Fin High Efficiency Commercial Boiler. This product expansion of the original line, which launched in 1986 and just celebrated its 30th anniversary, now offers an input capacity from 2.5 to 5 million Btuh, more than doubling its previous capacity. The enhanced performance comes from a heat exchanger that features a double row of swept fins that delivers more than twice the output of the original model.
Hydra-Zorb now manufactures Cushion Clamps specifically for metric pipe sizes. The Hydra-Zorb pipe clamps can be used with polypropylene piping and guards against shock, vibration, and corrosion. They are also made in-house in the U.S.
