Visio® 2000 Technical Edition software enables engineers to create two-dimensional technical drawings through the use of more than 4,000 SmartShapes® symbols. According to the manufacturer, SmartShapes are designed to behave like the walls, pipes, valves, pumps, and other real world objects they represent. The program is for those who don't use CAD but who need to work occasionally with CAD drawings. Visio reads and writes files in the standard DWG and DGN formats.
