Schaffner EMC has introduced its ECOSine® 60 Hz Passive Harmonic Filters. The company says the filters remove harmful harmonics of a pre-determined order to increase the reliability of supplied power, and thus extending the service life of downstream components. With plug-and-play convenience and compact dimensions, the product can be more easily installed and commissioned.
Schaffner passive harmonic filters are ideal for use with non-linear loads such as motor drives (nominally 5 hp to 500 hp), equipment with front-end 6-pulse rectifiers, fans, pumps, HVAC equipment, DC fast chargers, and more. Passive harmonic filters are said to improve productivity by eliminating harmonic-related downtime in varied industrial applications such as manufacturing, water/wastewater treatment, factory automation, mission-critical processes, and more.
