Baldor Electric Co. introduced a new line of energy efficient electric motors. The Large AC – GPM induction motor is available up to 1,500 hp. Large AC – GPM motors are available in stock ratings of 250 – 1,000 hp, 2300/4000 Volt, totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC), foot mounted designs.
RectorSeal® Corp. introduced the RectorSeal Blue+™, a non-setting, multi-purpose, lead-free, blue-colored pipe thread sealant approved for use with multiple plumbing and HVACR residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Blue+ is unrestricted for use with all threaded metal, polyethylene, fiberglass reinforced, PVC, CPVC, and ABS pipe.
Para Systems, Inc. has unveiled the latest addition to its line of power protection products with the all-new EnTerra Series of 3-phase UPSs. Designed to protect equipment in the IT/networking, industrial, medical, and enterprise security sectors from all types of power problems, the EnTerra series is available for 50 or 60Hz applications ranging from 10kVA to 40kVA. Parallel options up to 160kVA are also available. The line provides a host of standard features including on-site startup, SNMP communications card, and a full two-year warranty, along with up to 94% system efficiency and simplified sales and ordering processes.
Air Pollution Control has introduced the Stinger™, an explosion isolation valve that isolates dust collector explosions to prevent a deflagration from traveling back through the inlet pipe of the dust collector into the workspace. Following extensive testing, Camfil APC reports that the Stinger is the first U.S.-made explosion flap valve to be certified by an independent testing agency to comply with NFPA standards. It may be retrofitted onto most dust collection systems and used with new or existing Farr Gold Series® dust collectors where the risk of a combustible dust explosion exists.
HEMCO says its Modular CleanLabs feature a modular construction design that is cost effective and time efficient compared to traditional construction. An entire laboratory workspace is pre-engineered including the structure and the lab furniture/fume hoods to outfit the interior.
MacroAir says it has improved on high volume, low speed (HVLS) fan technology with its new product line called AirVolution-D. MacroAir’s AirVolution-D is powered by a motor technology called D-Drive, which is a compact electric motor capable of handling the consistent torque requirements of a 24-ft diameter industrial fan. At the heart of AirVolution-D is a motor design which the company says delivers 50% more mechanical horsepower and 75% more wind power than current HVLS fans on the market.
Continental Fan’s UDVL Upblast Roof Ventilators are designed to provide aerodynamically efficient performance and a low silhouette design. The ventilators are constructed with a heavy duty welded steel base, galvanized butterfly damper section, and a spark resistant cast aluminum airfoil axial impeller.
Air Solution Co. has introduced a Cottonwood Filter Screen and Hail Guard System. The system can stop hail and debris from causing problems in an HVAC system. They are compatible with all equipment makes and models and can protect air coils, air-handling units, cooling towers, louvers, and more.
Carrier has added a new product to its AquaForce line of chillers with the introduction of the 30XA with Greenspeed Intelligence. The company says the addition of Greenspeed Intelligence will help consulting engineers and building owners meet the efficiency demands of today and the future.
Greenheck’s new Vektor®-MS inline mixed flow laboratory exhaust fan is designed to reduce fan energy in demand-based laboratory exhaust applications and safely allows variable frequency drives to be applied to laboratory exhaust fans. Featuring Sure-Aire™ noninvasive flow monitoring, the Vektor-MS responds to changes in airflow and static pressure in an occupied space, causing the fan’s operation to adjust throughout the day based on demand while the variable geometry discharge nozzle modulates to maintain constant discharge velocity at the fan exit.
