Clark is currently director of Corporate Business Development at Hill York, Florida’s oldest and largest air conditioning contractor, a post he has held since 2007. His previous experience includes such diverse assignments as president, vice president of sales and marketing, and regional sales manager at MEPCO (formerly the Dunham Div. of Dunham-Bush); and regional sales manager at Vapor Power. He holds a B.S.E.E., graduate study in management science from Virginia Tech, and is a LEED AP, member of USGBC (South Florida), IEEE, AIA Florida (allied), and an associate member of the NSP/Michigan Society of Professional Engineers.
Leaning on experience and data from various K-12 cities and projects, the author pursues some less conventional design approaches. They may revolve around radiant heating and/or cooling, but depending on school size and other factors, the smart use of heat recovery, DOAS, and improved central plants could also put a project on the HVAC honor roll.
