Greenheck now offers 2-in R13 foam insulation as a standard offering on its Model RV and RVE pre-engineered packaged rooftop outdoor air systems. Company officials said the newly designed units expand overall performance by 25% versus the previous generation.
EVAPCO has developed the eco-LSWE closed circuit coolers with an ellipti-fin coil and CrossCool™ internally enhanced tubes to increase the heat transfer of the coil, in turn improving the unit’s cooling capacity. The units range in capacity from 340 to 16,987 MBH.
Fujitsu launched a new Wi-Fi solution for its Airstage line. This Wi-Fi tool allows installers to operate a Fujitsu Airstage VRF system from anywhere with a smartphone, laptop, or tablet. Fujitsu’s Airstage VRF systems are controlled from a webpage or by using an iOS or Android App. A cloud server manages the entire process. Many HVAC functions can be remotely operated. These include: on/off, mode (heating, cooling, dry, auto, air circulation), change or set temperature, and set schedules and timers.
Panasonic Heating & Air Conditioning Group introduced the latest entry in the ECOi EX ™ Series, the new 460 volt unit, designed for commercial use. New to the series is the 2-way ECOi VRF Heat Recovery system, which the company says increases heating output and lowers installation costs.
STULZ Air Technology Systems, Inc. launched its next generation Mini-Space EC precision cooling system for small IT spaces. The Mini-Space EC provides up to 12kW (41 MBH) of cooling while only occupying a 2-ft by 2-ft footprint making it ideal for small IT and telco closets, high-rise buildings, laboratories, and other constrained spaces.
The new Mini-Space EC is available with CW or DX cooling in both up-flow (top discharge) and down-flow (top return) configurations with options for bottom discharge (under floor), front discharge (direct room supply), and ducted rear return (with external filter box).

SPX Cooling Technologies introduced a new line of gearboxes, the Series M Geareducer. Series M Geareducers are designed and manufactured to directly and easily replace other OEM gearboxes in field-erected cooling towers, said company officials.
Larson Electronics LLC has released a new explosion proof evaporative cooler. This explosion proof galvanized air chiller combines a non-sparking fan and dry mist technology to cool Class 1, Division 1 work areas that do not have access to traditional air conditioning.
SPX Cooling Technologies announced a redesign of its Marley AV line of factory-assembled single flow cooling towers. The new induced draft crossflow design features both single- and multi-fan models and a broader tonnage range from 122 to 772 nominal tons and flowrate of 117 to 1,541 gpm (27 to 350 m3/hr).The AV provides a compact footprint and is well-suited to support air conditioning and refrigeration systems as well as light industrial loads.
Schaffner EMC introduces the ECOsine® Active 3420, a harmonic filter which provides harmonic compensation in real-time for industrial and commercial environments. With a capacity of 30 to 300A, operating at 200-480VAC (+/- 10%), the connection-ready 3420 (3-wire) cabinet models include forced air cooling and internal liquid cooling (200-300A), for the power electronics.
SPX Cooling Technologies announced an expansion of its Marley MD line of factory-assembled counterflow cooling towers. The company says the towers require less plan area and offer greater site placement flexibility. New to the MD line is model 5017, a 12-ft by 14-ft box size offering 324 to 554 nominal tons of cooling per cell.
