As committee members, Anderson and Ruth are responsible for reviewing and rendering decisions on each proposal for alterations to the International Codes.

The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), announced that Julie Ruth, P.E., and Chuck Anderson, P.E., have been appointed to the International Code Council (ICC) Change Committees during the council’s 2007 Annual Conference.

As committee members, Anderson and Ruth are responsible for reviewing and rendering decisions on each proposal for alterations to the International Codes. “The International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) committee, which has 15 voting members, addresses energy-related proposals for the non-residential and residential markets. The International Residential Code (IRC) Building and Energy committee, consisting of 12 members, addresses energy and structural concerns for the residential market. The committees’ decisions are the first stage in the process of making changes to the International Codes, which are usually upheld at the ICC Final Action Hearing,” according to Anderson.
