Sessions on deregulation of the power industry, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency of buildings are included in the technical program for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) 2000 Winter Meeting, scheduled for February 5-9 in Dallas.
Numerous sessions on ventilation, hvacr systems and applications, new developments on ASHRAE standards, and other topics round out the 12-track program.
The “Deregulation for Dummies” seminar examines how the easing of regulatory controls could affect systems users and manufacturers, real-time pricing, and thermal storage. Elsewhere, strategies for controlling environmental tobacco smoke in bars, restaurants, and lounges in atria are presented in programs from the ventilation and IAQ tracks.
