The new Premium Efficiency vertical stacked water source heat pumps (VSHPs) from Johnson Controls offers efficiency as high as 16.6 EER and up to 18.5 EER in ground loop (geothermal) applications. The company says the design allows for simple zoning, tenant metering, and building expandability.
WaterFurnace International has introduced the Envision® 30-ton water source heat pump, which the company says offers efficiencies that exceed ASHRAE 90.1 standards. Featuring a modular, take-apart design, the 30-ton unit can be moved into a building in two different sections, providing a reduced weight, smaller footprint, and improved maneuverability. Each piece fits in freight elevators and through doorways for convenience. When the unit is ready for installation, the sections can be rejoined.

The NCC1991 condensing tankless water heater from Noritz America delivers a thermal efficiency of 95%, using natural gas, with an input range of 16,000 to 199,900 Btu. The company says this enables the unit to meet the hot water needs of larger residential applications as well as a wide variety of commercial projects. The NCC1991 is the low NOx version of Noritz’s NCC199 condensing tankless unit.
Schaffner EMC introduced the ECOsine® Active 200/250/300A, a harmonic filter providing harmonic compensation in real-time for industrial and commercial environments. With a capacity of 300A, operating at 480VAC (+/- 10%), the connection-ready 200/250/300A (three-wire) cabinet models include forced air cooling and internal liquid cooling for the power electronics.
