Harsco Corp. announced a planned market introduction of its all-new NURO™ touchpad control platform for its Patterson-Kelley boiler product line. Developed exclusively by Harsco, the proprietary NURO™ is the latest in the company’s Patterson-Kelley line of customer-focused boiler product innovations, including the introduction last year of its energy-efficient SONIC™ stainless steel boiler and its MACH N’ROLL™ domestic hot water heating system.
FS-Elliott Co. recently launched their Polaris+ series. Building on the design of FS-Elliott’s original industrial compressors, the Polaris+ line incorporates several new product advancements aimed to increase reliability and efficiency while maintaining low cost of ownership. The new Polaris+ series consists of five models with flows ranging from 900 to 11,500 icfm, 250 to 3000 hp, and pressures up to 150 psig.
Rinnai says it has introduced the first tankless water heater in the industry that allows for both concentric or twin-pipe PVC venting from the same unit. These new Ultra Series models RUC98i and RUC80i feature a built-in system, which according to the company, allows for maximum flexibility because the unit specified or on-hand will be compatible with whichever venting installation is preferred or required when it arrives on the jobsite.

Greenheck introduced the Model AFL-501, a 5.5-in deep, severe duty aluminum louver that protects exterior wall penetrations on FEMA 361 or 320 compliant storm shelters or safe rooms. According to the company, the Model AFL-501’s design incorporates inverted V-style blades that lend high free area, excellent resistance to water penetration and very low airflow resistance, while providing maximum protection against extremely high wind loads and wind-borne debris.

Continuing to expand on its existing heat pump product offerings, Bosch Thermotechnology says it has introduced a new split system version of its FHP LV Model package heat pump for commercial applications. Designed specifically for the new construction and replacement/retrofit market, the small footprint LV Split System heat pump comes in 8 sizes — 1.5 through 6 tons — and permits the condensing section to be placed remotely from the air handler section, allowing the unit to be placed in locations where space is limited or where the condenser needs to be located away from occupied areas to ensure minimum sound levels. The air handler section may be concealed within a variety of areas in the building for convenient connection to ventilation ducts.
Expanding its new line of SA-Series space heaters, Cambridge Engineering has added the SA350, capable of delivering 350 MBH (350,000 Btus per hour) for commercial and industrial applications. The company says the space heater was designed with the needs of building owners and managers in mind. The heaters patented Blow-Thru® Direct Gas-Fired Space Heaters are built to efficiently and safely heat commercial and industrial facilities. The flagship S-Series is documented to achieve 40% to 70% energy savings over unit heaters or traditional boiler applications, according to officials.
Chromalox says it has introduced a new extreme duty model of its blower heater line. Called the CXH-XD blower heater, the new unit is designed to withstand corrosive and wet environments and is ATEX certified.
