Bonomi North America has introduced a new series of grooved-end butterfly valves for use in commercial and light industrial applications. The new valves are built with an ISO mounting pad and stem for simple automation with electric or pneumatic actuators. Standard features of the new Bonomi Series L700E Series include an epoxy-coated ductile iron body, EDPM-coated ductile iron disc, and a 410 stainless steel ISO square stem.
In an effort to meet the need for optimum efficiency and energy savings across all building loads, Armstrong Fluid Technology says that its Design Envelope pumps are now also available with single-phase motors. Ideal for light commercial, residential, and industrial applications using single phase power, the company claims the new pumps allow designers, contractors, project managers, and building owners to choose the best pumping solution for their specific needs.
Mammoth has launched a new water source heat pump line, HydroBank MS, designed specifically for developer, new construction, and replacement markets where compact design and a low first cost are primary considerations. The company says its new HydroBank MS design is characterized by its small cabinet size and by features that make it easy to install and service.
The UV-Com™ Control Panel from UV Resources provides a means of monitoring multiple Ultraviolet “C” (UV-C) fixtures installed in individual air handling units (AHUs). According to the manufacturer, the UV-Com easily automates the conventional means of “manually checking” that lamps and ballasts are operational and communicates this lamp status to most BAS and BMS. A single UV-Com control panel can simultaneously monitor up to eight separate UV-C fixtures. Multiple UV-Com panels can be linked together in a daisy-chain sequence in order to monitor as many individual UV-C fixtures as necessary.
Cummins Power Generation has developed a new line of all-diesel generator sets to help small businesses such as gas stations, grocery stores, health clinics, telecommunication facilities, and more remain open and operational even during extended power outages and in extreme weather.
NexRev Inc. says it has developed a new solution to deliver operational cost savings to multisite facility owners. DrivePak Applied combines NexRev’s DrivePak variable flow retrofit technology with its Freedom energy management and control system. The company uses these tools to implement strategies that improve operating efficiency on an expanded range of applied HVAC equipment including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and air handling units. According to NexRev, customers can realize an attractive ROI with guaranteed results, and flexible procurement options are available to get projects funded, deployed and saving money as soon as possible.
The new EconomizerPro™ HVAC Monitoring Systems can record data from commercial rooftop units to find out if they are wasting energy. The system is simply added on to the unit. According to the manufacturer, it then uploads operational data to the cloud, where data is analyzed by sophisticated algorithms, identifying about $3,000 per year, per unit in wasted energy.
MovinCool®, a brand of DENSO Corporation, unveiled a new Climate Pro™ 18 portable heat pump, which combines both cooling and heating capabilities in a single, self-contained unit. The company says the compact system is 13% smaller and 22% lighter than other comparable heat pumps, yet it offers significantly higher performance. The Climate Pro 18’s cooling capacity is 14,600 Btu/h, the heating capacity is 13,700 Btu/h, and the minimum operating temperature with plenum is 24ºF.
Baldor Electric Company says it has introduced a new adjustable speed direct drive cooling tower system that improves reliability, reduces maintenance, runs quieter, and saves energy. By combining the technologies of the laminated finned frame Baldor-Reliance® RPM AC motor with a high-performance permanent magnet rotor design, this power-dense motor and power-matched adjustable speed drive replaces the right-angle gearbox and jack shaft installation found in many conventional industrial process cooling towers.
