Johnson Controls has been named one of the "World's Most Ethical Companies" for the fifth consecutive year by the Ethisphere Institute. Ethisphere, a think-tank dedicated to the creation, advancement and sharing of best practices in business ethics, corporate social responsibility, anti-corruption and sustainability, has published the rankings for five years.

"Johnson Controls is honored to be named one of the world's most ethical companies. This honor is a tribute to our 142,000 employees around the world, recognizing their commitment to customer satisfaction, sustainability and integrity," said Jerry Okarma, vice president, secretary and general counsel for Johnson Controls.

Ethisphere reviewed thousands of companies and evaluated a record number of applications through in-depth research and multi-step analysis, naming 110 companies to this year's list. The 2011 list features companies in 38 industries, including 43 companies headquartered outside the United States.
