ASHRAE arranges natural ventilation webinar

ASHRAE presents "Natural Ventilation" on Monday, May 4, 2009, from 1-4 p.m. EDT. The instructor is Frank Mills, P.E., of the UK's Environmental Design Consultants Limited.

Mills' course explains the various methods by which natural ventilation can be achieved, including successful examples. The course describes the calculation techniques with worked examples, ranging from simple manual calculations, spreadsheets, through to more sophisticated techniques, such as computational fluid dynamics, salt bath modeling, and physical (scale) model testing. Mills will also discuss hybrid solutions, including recent innovative schemes which have used the natural ventilation strategy throughout the year with added cooling in summer. The course follows the CIBSE Applications Manual AM10, Natural Ventilation in Non-Domestic Buildings. Attendees receive a discount on the purchase of this publication.

Econet - Where Renewable and Recoverable Energy Unite

Engineered SystemsON-DEMAND: We will be discussing a new, innovative system, which is more reliable and efficient than current AHU systems. Heating, cooling and heat recovery are integrated into a common circuit. The result is a shorter and more compact ventilation unit, with less pressure loss.
