The MicroPleat EC fromAirguard(Louisville, KY) is a programmable fan/filter unit that uses an electronically commutated dc motor that runs off ac power. As a result, the unit uses 100 W of power at 90 fpm, while standard ac-powered units use up to 400 W at the same rate of flow. Other features include the ability to control each unit individually from a centralized computer control station, and a low sound level. The system comes complete with all components required for the installation, including the computer, computer interface, repeater boxes, ac/dc power adaptor, and wiring.
