The American Society of Mechanical Engineers(ASME International) andUnicomm, LLChave created a focused marketplace, to match the growing interest of the engineering community in its search for new materials, new tools, new technology and new services. With manufacturing concerns stretched tightly in terms of resources and dollars, it is a growing concern for today's management and chief engineers to design for quicker production, safer products, and better time to market. As with last year's expo, the event will be held concurrently with ASME's International Mechanical Engineering Congress. The events will be held November 17 -20, 2003, in Washington.

The RD&D event will feature pavilions on the exhibit floor focused on clusters of content that ASME has deemed critical for the next century of product advancement, including: Engineered Materials, MEMS and nano-Technologies, Engineering & Design Tools, Defense Engineering Applications, Sensors - Motion & Control, Technology Transfer, Information Products, and General Research and Lab Design products.
