The standard sets requirements for evaluating whether a building or group of buildings meets a definition of “zero net energy” or a definition of “zero net carbon” during building operation.
This white paper from Millig Design Build aims to provide a framework for the different approaches to dehumidification for critical environments looking to reduce energy use and achieve a Net Zero carbon future.

Even with the new COP27 agreements adopted last week, emission reductions, including those of the building and construction sector that account for 40% of energy-based carbon emissions, are not on track to reach net zero by 2050.

The report details five initial priorities that will help enable the U.S. to meet the President’s goal of cutting greenhouse gases (GHGs) by 50%-52% in 2030 and get to net-zero emissions by no later than 2050.

The five-day conference, held from June 25-29 at the Sheraton Centre Hotel, Toronto, included eight conference tracks, tours, social events and committee meetings.
The design guide outlines strategies for achieving energy targets such as setting measurable goals, hiring design teams committed to those goals, using simulation throughout the design and construction processes, and being aware of how process decisions affect energy usage.
