Fujitsu General America has expanded its line of unitary ducted products. They now offer a broader selection of residential air conditioners, heat pumps, and gas furnaces as well as a new line of light commercial equipment.
Greenheck says it has expanded its line of Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS) for high percentage and 100 percent outside air. Pre-engineered rooftop ventilator models RV-110 and RVE-180 with energy recovery offer capacities up to 18,000 cfm, up to 70 tons of packaged cooling, and 1,200 mbh indirect gas-fired heating.
Modine Manufacturing Company announced the latest addition to its gas-fired power vented unit heater, the Model BTP. The company says the Modine Model BTP offers the same functionality as its PTP unit upgraded with factory installed blower assemblies. The addition of the blower assemblies allows customers to add duct work onto the unit to better distribute heat and air.
Greenheck’s new Model DS direct drive, high volume low speed (HVLS) ceiling fans feature an optimized airfoil design for maximum efficiency and coverage area. Licensed to bear the AMCA Seal for Circulating Fan Performance, Model DS is available in eight sizes ranging from 8 to 24 feet in diameter with performance up to 243,000 cfm.
Greenheck’s Utility Set Fan (USF) series has expanded with the addition of the model USFD-100 direct drive utility set. Model USFD-100 can be specified with either a Vari-Green® EC motor with a speed control dial for single-phase motor applications or a NEMA premium efficiency motor with a factory-mounted variable frequency drive (VFD).
Greenheck’s new Model EQD direct drive mixed flow inline fan features an energy-saving Vari-Green® motor mounted inside a patent pending octagonal housing. The company says the Vari-Green motor’s variable speed control matches fan performance with facility demand and requires virtually no maintenance.
Heat Transfer Products Group (HTPG) released its new Next-Gen All-Temp Low Profile Unit Cooler line. The new design features high-efficiency motors, new fan guard design and deep draw venturi to achieve optimal air flow, coils with enhanced copper tubing, and redesigned housing.
Lochinvar’s KNIGHT® wall mount fire tube boiler ranges from 55,000 to 399,999 Btuh. Select models provide up to 10:1 turndown, top and bottom water connections, and an upgraded SMART SYSTEM Control®. The refined KNIGHT wall mount fire tube boiler models WHN56-286 offer 95% AFUE while the WHN400 is rated with 94.4% Thermal Efficiency, Low-NOx emissions and a fully modulating burner.
SPX Cooling Technologies announced a redesign of its Marley AV line of factory-assembled single flow cooling towers. The new induced draft crossflow design features both single- and multi-fan models and a broader tonnage range from 122 to 772 nominal tons and flowrate of 117 to 1,541 gpm (27 to 350 m3/hr).The AV provides a compact footprint and is well-suited to support air conditioning and refrigeration systems as well as light industrial loads.
Engineered Systems magazine’s July 2019 issue examines the meticulous challenges involved with designing a central steam plant, why well-maintained central plants are facilities’ lifeblood, how radiant heated and cooled classrooms are evolving in educational settings, the role of VRF on utility bills, and much more.
