The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International has promoted Nazme Mohsina to the position of technical director.

Previously associate director of certification, Mohsina will direct the activities of AMCA’s laboratory located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. In addition, she will continue to administer the association’s Certified Ratings Program (CRP).

Mohsina joined AMCA in 2011 as certification/project engineer, a role in which she was responsible for ensuring manufacturer ratings developed for the CRP were based on standardized testing, developing software tools to ease the certification process, serving on the laboratory-accreditation team, auditing national and international manufacturer test laboratories, providing to staff members training and guidance in testing according to AMCA standards, developing project guidelines, managing projects and priorities, and providing complex data analysis. She was promoted to associate director of certification in 2017.

“Nazme earned this opportunity,” said AMCA Executive Director Mark Stevens. “Two important aspects of leadership are competency and congruency between how you act and what’s important to you. Nazme pegs the needle in both of those areas, and I’ve got a lot of confidence in her.”
