According to the company, this allows for the alarm system to have seamless communication with building management systems without any additional hardware or software. FAAST’s ModBus connectivity is provided via its onboard Ethernet connection, which can also simultaneously provide direct Internet connectivity and email functionality. Like these features, ModBus connectivity comes standard on all FAAST aspirating smoke detectors at no additional cost.
