Many methods await when it comes to reducing exhaust rates. Fortunately, engineers can avail themselves of multiple tactics, from the hood specification to proper commissioning and air balance.
Greenheck was awarded second place in the 2014 Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers New Product Competition in the Large Company Category for its Variable Geometry Nozzle used on laboratory exhaust systems.
The IC20 Drop-In fan from Zoo Fans is designed specifically for drop ceiling (T-bar) spaces with ceiling heights from 8 ft to 20 ft. The patent-pending diffuser has an integrated jet ball exhaust that is easy to adjust to direct the airflow.
Greenheck’s new Energy Recovery Filter System incorporates energy recovery technology into kitchen exhaust hoods. The system captures the waste heat produced by the cooking appliances that would otherwise be exhausted from a kitchen hood and uses it to preheat a portion of the incoming water supply that is directed into the patented energy recovery filters.
The PR-Series from Addison provides fresh air for critical facilities such as schools and universities, health care facilities and hospitals, and hotels and resort complexes. Addison recently introduced the PR-Series semi-custom packaged rooftop system for commercial, institutional, and industrial applications. The company says the series is a highly efficient, packaged rooftop heating and air conditioning system that offers design flexibility with a wide selection of factory options, as well as the ability to accept custom options for specific job requirements.
Greenheck’s new Vektor®-MS inline mixed flow laboratory exhaust fan is designed to reduce fan energy in demand-based laboratory exhaust applications and safely allows variable frequency drives to be applied to laboratory exhaust fans. Featuring Sure-Aire™ noninvasive flow monitoring, the Vektor-MS responds to changes in airflow and static pressure in an occupied space, causing the fan’s operation to adjust throughout the day based on demand while the variable geometry discharge nozzle modulates to maintain constant discharge velocity at the fan exit.
The company has released two condensing gas boilers, Models 550 and 750. Features include 93.9% thermal efficiency, 94% combustion efficiency, low NOx certification, PVC venting for direct vent and direct exhaust, and 20% to 100% modulation.
