The panel is one of several panels operating under the Academy's Committee on Science and Technology for Countering Terrorism. Panelists will identify current concepts and opportunities for research that will reduce the nation's vulnerability to terrorism directed at energy facilities, buildings and other essential, fixed infrastructure elements. A report from the panel will be issued in fall 2002.
