The company has introduced a new 145-ton version of its SWP Vertical Self-Contained Air Conditioning System for new construction applications. According to the company, the increased tonnage allows its SWP units to accommodate larger floor spaces with a single unit. Per the company, benefits compared to using multiple smaller units per floor include less design work; less floor space for mechanical rooms; less supporting equipment, such as ductwork and power hookups; lower installation labor and costs; lower energy costs; and lower maintenance and service costs. Contained within are six scroll compressors combined with water-cooled condensing, a water or air economy cycle, and vav operation. — McQuay International Minneapolis
