Four industry leaders and one HVACR instructor were recently recognized with special awards byARIat its 49th Annual Meeting in LaQuinta, CA. ARI Chairman Daniel W. Holmes, Jr. presented the 2002 Richard C. Schulze Distinguished Service Award for outstanding service to the industry toGary L. Kaiser, David F. Lewis, Dean Peterson and Paul F. Renaud.

Robert S. Bates, HVACR Instructor at Delaware Technical and Community College, was presented with the ARI Meritorious Service Award. Kaiser received the 2001 Schulze Distinguished Service Award for providing outstanding service to the industry, especially for his leadership as chairman of ARI's General Standards Committee and ARI's Air Conditioning Heat Transfer Product Section. Lewis received the Schulze Award for his untiring support and counsel to ARI over the years. Peterson was presented the Richard C. Schulze Award for his dedication and commitment to ARI, especially for the many years he served as chairman of ARI's Industrial Refrigeration & Heat Transfer and the Air Conditioning Heat Transfer Product Sections. Peterson has worked actively for more than 15 years on ARI Engineering Committees for both refrigeration and air conditioning products and also on ASHRAE technical committees. The Schulze Distinguished Service Award was presented to Renaud for his outstanding efforts in support of ARI programs, particularly for his continuing efforts in supporting the health of the commercial refrigeration industry through ARI's Commercial Refrigerator Manufacturers Division (CRMD). The ARI Meritorious Service Award was presented to Bates, HVACR Instructor at Delaware Technical and Community College.
