ASHRAEwill issue guidance to help architects and engineers identify and prevent design and construction deficiencies at its IAQ 2004 Conference. Proper design, construction and operation of key HVAC subsystems, and associated components are critical to prevent hospital-borne infections and cross contamination, which are the top IAQ concerns in today's health care facilities.

IAQ 2004 Critical Operations: Supporting the Healing Environment Through IAQ Performance Standards will be held March 15-17, 2004, at the Tampa Convention Center. The conference will address the critical role that IAQ performance standards provide in support of health care facilities.
