Air systems in commercial buildings provide exhaust, fire/smoke control, ventilation for indoor air quality and cost-effective and reliable comfort. Engineers and other buildings professionals need to have varying levels of expertise to ensure air systems are properly designed, installed, operated and maintained.
Air systems include quite a few different types of products for moving and controlling airflows, including fans, dampers, louvers and air curtains. Here’s a quiz developed by the staff at the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International, a not-for-profit manufacturers association based in the USA but with more than 360 member companies worldwide.
The first half of the quiz covered the first half of our name—air movement. The second half of the quiz covers — you guessed it — the second half of our name, air control. Have fun!
AMCA is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and we encourage Engineered Systems readers to visit our website at www.amca.org to make use of our educational materials and to learn more about AMCA’s Certified Ratings Program.
