ASHRAE’s has established an Operations and Performance Management (OPMP) certification program for engineers who want to be proficient in operation and management.

The exam is Web-based and is offered at more than 200 testing centers around the world. Engineers must apply first through ASHRAE and if they meet the requirements, are able to register for the test.

This is the third certification test ASHRAE has offered. The Healthcare Facility Design Professional test and the High-Performance Building Design Professional Certification test are also available. In addition, the Society’s Commissioning Process Management Professional will be available at testing centers by the end of August.

A correction

In my article titled, “Refrigeration Fadeout,” which appeared in our May issue, I listed Vince Sakraida as being with Merrick & Company. He is with Jacobs Consultancy in Denver. My apologies!
