Carrier Corp., a unit of United
Technologies Corp., has introduced its new, WeatherMaker® rooftop product line
with Puron® refrigerant. This product line is designed to meet the increasing
demand for more energy-efficient air conditioners with environmentally sound,
non-ozone depleting refrigerant and factory-installed features.
“I am pleased to introduce the
new Carrier WeatherMaker rooftop product line with the initial release of the
three to 10 ton units,” said Chris Nelson, vice president and general manager,
Carrier Commercial Unitary Systems. “The new line provides our customers with a
reliable and efficient packaged solution that is easy to install, maintain and
use.”
“The new, WeatherMaker rooftop
is designed to meet our customers’ current and future needs,” explained Dave
Sabatino, packaged platform manager, Commercial Unitary Systems. “Its design
not only fits existing Carrier curbs, it also matches utility connection
locations providing a smooth and cost-effective installation by eliminating the
need for curb adaptors in replacement projects.”
The WeatherMaker rooftop also
features easy-grip handled access panels, built-in no-strip screws and a
user-friendly, integrated terminal board for easy installation of unit wiring
(and many factory or field installed devices). The WeatherMaker also includes
scroll compressors, filter driers, pressure safety switches and a newly
designed and enlarged control box.
