IT Convergence, wireless sensor networks and enterprise integration are all buzzwords of the rapidly transforming intelligent buildings industry. To shed light on these trends in an objective manner, Clasma Events, Inc. announced the second annualBuilConn Europewill be held November 8-10, 2005, at the Amsterdam RAI.

BuilConn Europe is a three-day event designed for the channels that specify, manage, and deliver integration including building and facility owners and managers, integrators, contractors, distributors, manufacturers and IT professionals, BuilConn is the only event of its kind that caters directly to this market. Often referred to as the intersection of the buildings industry, BuilConn features representatives of the full spectrum of the buildings industry including HVAC, Security, Lighting, Access Control, CCTV, and IT.

BuilConn Europe is further extending its expertise in 2005 by including programs developed and delivered by The ZigBee Alliance, an association of companies working together to enable reliable, cost-effective, low-power, wirelessly networked, monitoring and control products based on an open global standard. This organization's subject matter is closely tied to the buildings industry and essential to the future development of the industry.

"The second BuilConn Europe will be significantly enhanced with the participation of these key organizations and the audience will see first-hand the grand potential of the buildings industry," Anto Budiardjo, Clasma events president and BuilConn organizer, said. "There is so much activity and we are fortunate to have the support and expertise of many of the industry's most significant players and organizations who are eager to communicate the inherent value of integrated and intelligent buildings."

BuilConn Europe seeks to educate and unite the industry through workshops, panel-based seminars and keynote presentations on topics ranging from IT-based open systems technologies, wireless sensor networks and structured cabling to the benefits of IT convergence and the impact of buildings on the enterprise.

All together, the events found at BuilConn are organized to encourage interaction among peers and establish relationships with other industry stakeholders who embrace whole building integration.
