Fanning/Howey Associates, Inc.(Celina, OH) has been notified by theAmerican Association of School Administrators(AASA) that it will be awarded the Shirley Cooper Award for its design of Deerfield Elementary School, Novi, MI. The award was presented at AASA's National Conference on Education on Feb. 14 in San Diego.

Co-sponsored by AASA, the American Institute of Architects, and the Council of Educational Facility Planners, International, the Shirley Cooper Award recognizes excellence in educational facilities planning, design, and construction. Fanning/Howey Associates is the only architectural/engineering firm to have earned this award three times. In 1993, the firm received the Shirley Cooper Award for the planning and design of Williamston High School in Michigan, and in 1999 for Fishback Creek Public Academy in Indiana.
