Berner International has introduced the Architectural Icon 8 and Icon 10 to its Architectural Collection of air curtains. The Architectural Icon 8 and Icon 10 models are redesigns of Berner’s Architectural Low Profile 8 and Architectural High Performance 10 air curtains.
Used in general ventilation and air-conditioning systems, air-control devices include louvers, dampers, gravity ventilators, round spiral duct, and transverse duct connections.
Superseding ANSI/AMCA Standard 301-14, ANSI/AMCA Standard 301-22 applies to any fan for which a test standard for measuring sound-power levels exists. Stakeholders include fan manufacturers, building designers, engineers, and acoustic consultants.
AMCA Publication 11 is the operating manual for the AMCA International Certified Ratings Program (CRP), a globally recognized third-party program providing assurance that published data for air-movement and control products are accurate.
Applicable to large, open, indoor spaces with low occupancy as well as to warehouses, the findings are based on more than 220 parametric computational-fluid-dynamics (CFD) simulations varying worker and packing-line locations and fan speed (20%-100%) with and without racking.
Despite their complex appearance, fan curves are fairly easy to interpret once one gains an understanding of the conventions and terminology used, enabling selection and specification of the best fan for an application.
