Overall construction input prices are 7.9% higher than a year ago, while nonresidential construction input prices are 7.6% higher.

Private nonresidential spending was up 1.7%, while public nonresidential construction spending was down 0.1% in November. 

On a seasonally adjusted annualized basis, nonresidential spending totaled $898.4 billion for the month.

Overall, the industry has recovered virtually all (99.0%) of the jobs lost during earlier stages of the pandemic. 

According to the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), construction input prices are up 23.6% over the past 12 months, while nonresidential construction input prices rose 24.3%.

On a seasonally adjusted annualized basis, nonresidential spending totaled $820.7 billion for the month.
