Carrier has introduced its new ComfortVu BACnet thermostats. These thermostats offer control of a building's heating and cooling equipment from inside a facility or from any BACnet-based BMS, including Carrier’s i-Vu® building automation system.
Rheem has launched its EcoNet® Smart Thermostat, designed to optimize the performance of Rheem communicating HVAC and water heating systems. The new thermostat includes intelligent management features for both owners and contractors.

Titus has released the TJD, a standard OMNI diffuser designed specifically to address low air volume codes. According to the company, while most air outlets typically work at 100 cfms, the patent pending TJD performs at 20 to 50 cfms and throws air at 50 ft per minute up to 9 ft from the diffuser. The high mixing increases the discharge isovel and its throw, providing uniform temperatures and equally distributed outside air throughout the space.
Extech Instruments introduced the Extech MN62-K, a kit that includes Extech’s MA62 True RMS digital multimeter and the DV23 AC voltage detector. The company says the kit is optimized for electrical installations and repairs in residential or commercial wiring, HVACR work, and plant maintenance.

According to the company, Verasys offers customers in the light commercial market a flexible, one-source procurement solution with advanced technology already embedded for the self-discovery of Smart Equipment™.
Daikin Applied’s Intelligent Equipment® is now available as a factory-installed option on Trailblazer® chillers. The company says the equipment helps building owners and facility managers transform how they manage HVAC equipment. Officials also said the Intelligent Equipment transfers and applies data from the unit through the cloud to drive value, helping building operators monitor energy consumption at the equipment level.
