Danfoss has introduced the new Danfoss Turbocor® TT700 compressor — expanding to a larger capacity its existing range of Turbocor® TT series compressors. Designed for water-cooled chiller applications, the new TT700 compressors are oil-free, variable-speed, magnetic bearing centrifugal compressors that provide full- and part-load energy efficiency. The company claims the compressors also feature a small footprint, are light weight, and offer low vibration, very low sound, intelligent controls, and soft starting characteristics.
By diverting harmful VFD-induced shaft voltages safely to ground, AEGIS® PRO Series Rings protect large AC and DC motors from bearing damage. Available for motor shafts to 30-in diameter, AEGIS® PRO Series Rings are specially designed for high-current applications such as generators, turbines, and medium-voltage motors.
Electro Static Technology says its new Universal Mounting Brackets allow for fast, easy installation of AEGIS iPRO, AEGIS iPRO-MR, and AEGIS WTG Bearing Protection Rings on large motors.
Daikin Applied claims its Magnitude WMC chillers with RapidRestore™ gives owners peace of mind during a power loss. The new RapidRestore feature gives the Magnitude WMC a compressor start time of 43 seconds and it fast loads to 80% capacity within 120 seconds after power is restored.
Baldor Electric Co.’s Dodge® Hydraulic ISAF bearing is now available with higher load ratings. The Hydraulic ISAF pillow block bearing with a patented hydraulic mount and dismount system is now available with higher capacity, 231 series spherical bearings, and is interchangeable with industry standard SDAF housing dimensions.
Armstrong Fluid Technology has introduced the Maintenance-Free (MF) versions of its S&H Circulator line and the Seal Bearing Assemblies (SBA) used to service them. The traditional sleeve bearing designs that are commonly used in this style of circulator require periodic oiling.
