A. O. Smith launched its first-ever Commercial Heat Pump (CHP-120) for light commercial applications such as restaurants, schools, retail buildings, or any facility that would traditionally use a standard commercial electric water heater.
DewAir Corp. has introduced the RH-Cube 18, a split-system mechanical dehumidifier that uses a compact, energy-efficient counter-flow heat exchanger for dedicated humidity control. Company officials claim the RH-Cube 18 reduces air conditioning energy costs up to 55% and increases IAQ for restaurants, hotels, schools, health care clinics, athletic facilities, offices, grow-ops, factories, museums, warehouses, residences, and many other applications with small to medium spaces requiring humidity control.
Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) has expanded the S-Series (PUMY) air-source heat pump outdoor unit to include Hyper-Heating INVERTER® (H2i®) technology in select models. Part of the CITY MULTI® family of products, the PUMY is a single-phase heat pump suited for light commercial or large residential applications.
Nortek Global HVAC has added the R7DA, a combination dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) and conventional space conditioning rooftop unit (RTU), to the Reznor® and Mammoth® branded R7 Platform product lines.
Fujitsu General America has introduced new medium static pressure duct indoor units for their single-zone Halcyon mini-split line. This new RGLX line features sufficient static pressure to heat or cool a whole house. Units are available in seven sizes ranging from 12,000 to 48,000 Btuh, with efficiency ratings up to 21.3 SEER.
Fujitsu General America released its new Airstage J-IIIL heat pumps in the VRF system line for light- to mid-sized commercial applications. According to the company, the compact and slim design of the J-IIIL VRF line makes it ideal for low rise and urban buildings where limited installation space is a challenge. Front-facing fans and a compact chassis permit the outdoor unit to be installed in narrow spaces, whether ground- or wall-mounted.
Cambridge Engineering has further expanded into commercial cooling with the availability of the E-Series and ESC-Series evaporative cooling. The company also made enhancements to its M-Series make-up air units.
Modine Manufacturing Company announced the latest addition to its gas-fired power vented unit heater, the Model BTP. The company says the Modine Model BTP offers the same functionality as its PTP unit upgraded with factory installed blower assemblies. The addition of the blower assemblies allows customers to add duct work onto the unit to better distribute heat and air.
