ASHRAE is reporting a memorandum of understanding was signed between the society and the Japan Society of Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (JSRAE).

The two groups agreed “to advance and promote the mutual interests of engineering and built environment professionals." ASHRAE is tracking JSRAE’s efforts to track and manage refrigerant in Japan. In addition, JSAE members are interested in the revision of ASHRAE Standard 147, Reducing the Release of Halogenated Refrigerants from Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Equipment and Systems, which connected to their efforts.
