This picture shows a same fan encased in
ductwork. What’s wrong with that, you ask?
How will so maintenance staff access the fan? The designer didn’t give
much thought to maintaining this fan when it was pushed up against an exterior
wall (automatic damper between fan and block wall) and surrounded by ductwork
on three sides.
