Launched in 2010, the annual EnVisioneer of the Year award competition recognizes North American original equipment manufacturers, building owners, municipalities, contractors, and end users that have introduced a new product, opened a new facility, or invested in a building or system upgrade in the past 18 months using Danfoss products or solutions to realize significant energy and environmental savings.
Danfoss introduced its Magnetic Tool refrigeration app. The app allows HVACR technicians to use their smartphones for magnetic field detection. Company officials said the app serves as a more convenient alternative to the variety of tools HVACR technicians rely on to ensure solenoid valves function properly.
Danfoss introduced Connecto NA, a new and improved line of connection kits for Danfoss self-regulating heating cables. Designed for use with both Danfoss RX-C Roof and Gutter De-icing Cables and PX Pipe Freeze Protection Cables, Danfoss Connecto kits aim to provide reliable and safe installation of electric heating cables.

“Twelve percent organic growth is impressive,” said John Galyen, president, North America, Danfoss. “This is on top of 10 percent organic growth last year. This tells me that that’s above market growth. Customers continue to reward us with more business.”
Danfoss says it has engineered a solution that safely controls hot gas injection with the ICSH Dual Position Solenoid Valve. Complying with the latest IIAR safety recommendations for soft gas applications, the ICSH Dual Position Solenoid Valve provides a gradual, time-controlled opening for a smooth pressure build-up in the evaporator before it opens the flow to 100% for full defrost.
Danfoss recently introduced its new Multi Ejector Solution™, which the company says will help CO2 become a major asset for the cooling industry. As a refrigerant, CO2 has the lowest possible Global Warming Potential (GWP) with a rating of “1,” causes zero ozone depletion, and is non-toxic and non-flammable.
Danfoss has released its new RX1200 controller for electric de-icing applications. Designed to complement Danfoss RX de-icing cables for roof and gutter applications, the RX1200 controller helps to extend the life of an outdoor electric heating system and prevent damage and leaks. By sensing both moisture and temperature conditions, the company says the RX1200 can activate or de-activate the cables as needed, reducing energy consumption by up to 75% compared to a controller that measures temperature alone.
