The WSG30™ system from Sensaphone® provides 24/7 remote monitoring of HVAC units, refrigerators, and freezers. It is ideal for locations where hard-wiring sensors are difficult or cost prohibitive. The WSG30 system is a web-based monitoring system that uses wireless sensors to detect problems such as temperature changes (from -109°F to 115°F), humidity fluctuations, water leaks, and power outages. A single WSG30 unit can support up to 30 wireless sensors.
GrayWolf has introduced new multi-parameter air measurement kits that include 7-in, 8-in, or 10-in tablet PCs to meet lower cost DirectSense IAQ, TVOC, TOX, HVAC and AIR applications. Use the smaller tablets for portable display of measurements, “snap-shot” data-logs, and/or short-term trend logging. Additionally, use the 10-in tablet for multi-probe and long-term monitoring. All of the tablets come with cameras that enable direct attachment of photos and videos to data files on-site. The microphones allows for audio note attachment for efficient and reliable documentation of field surveys.
Honeywell unveiled its new commercial wireless fire alarm system developed to protect challenging applications and high-cost installations, as well as building expansions. The Smart Wireless Integrated Fire Technology (SWIFT) detectors and modules integrate with new and existing fire alarm systems from Fire-Lite Alarms, Gamewell-FCI, and NOTIFIER.
When dangerous amounts of CO are detected, the CO1224T and CO1224TR (round) CO detectors alert occupants by sounding and flashing a temp-four signal alarm. With 24/7 central station monitoring, officials with System Sensor said occupants are guaranteed protection from the effects of CO.
Trane has unveiled its EarthWise™ Intelligent Variable Air Systems. The manufacturer claims the system is a key part of a cost-effective, energy-saving building design that can improve HVAC system efficiency by 20% to 30% when compared to a traditional VAV system.
Onset has released its HOBO UX120 Thermocouple Logger, a four-channel LCD data logger for measuring and recording temperature in a broad range of monitoring applications. The new logger records temperatures over a broad range (-260⁰ to 1,820⁰ C) and can accept up to four J, K, T, E, R, S, B, or N type probes.
The SVG3 Digital Micron Vacuum Gauge includes a large dual display with rate indicator, alarms, timers, a rubberized case, and rugged strap and hook that hangs at an angle to make reading the display easy. The dual display indicates live vacuum measurement in microns of mercury on the top line, and the rate of micron change, or the alarm stopwatch on the bottom line.
The Emergency Command Center (ECC) is a mass notification system capable of integrating with virtually any brand of fire alarm system. According to Fire-Light Alarms by Honeywell, this provides an economical solution for communicating critical messages, general announcements, and more, throughout a facility.
