Schaffner EMC introduced the ECOsine® Active 200/250/300A, a harmonic filter providing harmonic compensation in real-time for industrial and commercial environments. With a capacity of 300A, operating at 480VAC (+/- 10%), the connection-ready 200/250/300A (three-wire) cabinet models include forced air cooling and internal liquid cooling for the power electronics. The company said filters are capable of supporting large production facilities.
Sensaphone® will introduce its Sentinel™ PRO remote monitoring system, an enhanced version of the Sentinel cloud-based system that provides 24/7 remote monitoring of unattended HVAC units, freezers, refrigerators, boilers, and chillers. The Sentinel PRO system supports the Modbus communications protocol and includes a second relay output — capabilities required to monitor and control complex networks.
Daikin Applied has expanded its line of air cooled scroll chillers. The chillers are designed to help facility managers in K-12 schools better manage rising energy costs and the burdens of aging equipment. Trailblazer, the customizable chiller, is now available in sizes from 30 to 240 tons.
Johnson Controls has introduced the Quantech Air-Cooled Chillers. The company says the chillers offer up to 50% annual energy cost savings compared with the replaced chillers, have a low lifecycle cost, meet or exceed ASHRAE standards, and help earn LEED credit with a low refrigerant charge. Three models make up the Quantech chiller line. The QTC2 (15-50 tons) provides chilled water for all air conditioning applications using central station air handling or terminal units. The state-of-the-art installation uses tube and fin condensers, brazed plate evaporators, and scroll compressors.
When aging, outdated systems at Hardin Medical Center (HMC) provided inadequate cooling and insufficient humidity control, hospital administrators undertook a number of upgrades.
NexRev Inc. says it has developed a new solution to deliver operational cost savings to multisite facility owners. DrivePak Applied combines NexRev’s DrivePak variable flow retrofit technology with its Freedom energy management and control system. The company uses these tools to implement strategies that improve operating efficiency on an expanded range of applied HVAC equipment including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and air handling units. According to NexRev, customers can realize an attractive ROI with guaranteed results, and flexible procurement options are available to get projects funded, deployed and saving money as soon as possible.
A Hilton in the heart of show biz transformed into a sustainable destination hotel with the help of chiller and cooling tower overhauls and improved BAS and ventilation strategies. Don’t miss the final plot twist before the system’s big launch party.
