ARLINGTON, Va. — Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) has published a webpage for the AHRI Safe Refrigerant Transition Task Force (SRTTF) to provide information about all aspects of task force initiatives, including general updates, upcoming meetings, resources, and contacts. Led by Kevin O'Shea from Ballywick Consulting and Helen Walter Terrinoni, vice president of regulatory affairs, AHRI, the SRTTF aims to address every step of the supply chain to ensure a safe transition to A2L refrigerants.
The SRTTF is comprised of seven working groups, five of which meet regularly:

  • Codes & Standards;
  • Safety Training;
  • Communications;
  • Department of Transportation/Shipping/Packaging & Handling/Warehouse; and
  • Installation/Operation/Maintenance.

Meetings of the two additional working groups — Reclaim/Recovery/Discussion and Bulk Storage/Manufacturing Facilities — will begin soon. Members and other interested parties are encouraged to visit ahrinet.org/saferefrigerant for more information.
