Goodway Technologies has introduced a new cooling tower cleaning solution that disinfects hard non-porous surfaces in one step. According to the company, the EPA-registered BioSpray® Tower kills 99.9% of Legionella pneumophila when it is properly applied to hard non-porous surfaces like cooling towers. This product is designed to be a part of a regular maintenance program or emergency surface disinfection program.

While cooling towers aren’t the only place where Legionella can grow, it is one of the most common. This is why the ASHRAE Standard 188-2015 was established to introduce minimum risk management requirements for building water systems to mitigate Legionella outbreaks. Performing the proper maintenance and cleaning helps to reduce the nutrients available for Legionella growth, said company officials.

The BioSpray Tower also features100% biodegradable surfactant. It comes in a 5-gallon container and should be used undiluted for maximum effectiveness.
