Friedrich Air Conditioning Co. has introduced its FreshAire™ PTAC unit. The company says the unit provides an indoor air quality solution for the hotel and lodging industry. Friedrich’s patent-pending FreshAire system is based on an energy efficient inverter compressor with the ability to bring in conditioned make-up air (MUA) and MERV-8 filtration. It is designed to meet ASHRAE 62.1-2013, the standard for indoor air quality. In addition to bringing in fresh air from the outdoors, the PTAC helps to eliminate unpleasant odors and controls humidity.
