LG Electronics USA Air Conditioning Technologies has expanded its line of vertical air handling units (VAHUs). The new VAHU units feature a number of upgrades, most notably four-way installation capabilities. With four-way installation, the new LG VAHUs can be installed vertically, horizontally from the left and right, or inverted with a down flow conversion kit. For residential applications, the new models include a factory-installed LG Dry Contact to connect a third-party thermostat. The new VAHUs are also Wi-Fi capable providing the ability to control the air conditioning system using the LG SmartThinQ™ app alongside other LG Wi-Fi enabled products.
The new LG VAHU lineup includes 18, 24, 36, 42, and 48 Btuh capacities in one-to-one configurations with the 18, 24, and 36 options also compatible as part of a multi-system with the LG Multi F and LG Multi F Max outdoor units. The new models also feature an electronically commutated motor (ECM) making them eligible for a number of regional and local rebates.
