Emerson will host a complimentary E360 regulatory breakfast on Tuesday, January 31, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. during the AHR Expo in Las Vegas. The panel discussion will cover the latest environmental rulings related to acceptable refrigerants as well as refrigerant leak rate levels, detection methods, requirement documentation, and the short- and long-term impacts to commercial refrigeration and air conditioning.

The panel discussion will be led by Dr. Rajan Rajendran, vice president of the system innovation center and sustainability for Emerson; John Wallace, director of innovation and retail solutions for Emerson; and Shane Angle, vice president and general manager of commercial air conditioning at Emerson. Topics to be covered during the panel discussion include:

• Latest actions from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to phase down high global warming potential (GWP) hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants and introduce a new class of lower-GWP alternatives

• Recent regulatory changes and their impact on the management of refrigerants leaks

• Department of Energy (DOE) efficiency regulations, the latest EPA refrigerant ruling, and how these are driving change when it comes to AC applications

Organizers said the panel discussion will be followed by an extensive Q&A session. Space for the breakfast is limited and will be held in Ballroom C of the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.  For more information on this E360 event, including registration information, click here.
