Pentair Flow & Filtration Solutions has introduced the Aurora Intellistar™ 382 vertical inline pump with variable frequency drive controls (Intellistar). Company officials said the pump will provide continuous control and smoothly adjust motor speed to directly control pressure and flow in chilled and hot water hydronic applications. Once installed, the Intellistar monitors system characteristics and makes adjustments by adjusting motor speed (often at lower speeds) in response to actual demand. By modulating the power delivered to the motor, the Intellistar’s VFD provides continuous control, modifying motor speed to directly control pressure and flow, while extending equipment life.
Pentair’s new Aurora Intellistar™ 382 vertical inline pump with variable frequency drive controls is available as close coupled or split coupled with bronze fitted construction. Optional features include impeller wear rings, and a high-temperature mechanical seal.
