The Advanced Facilities Management and Engineering Conference (AFEC) has announced the dates for its 2016 event. The conference will be held Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 14-15, at the Crowne Plaza DIA, John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Denver.

Organizers say the AFEC is designed to advance the skills and knowledge of facility managers and engineers in the Colorado and surrounding Rocky Mountain region, making them better equipped to handle today’s job demands and to assist them in advancing their careers.

“We are the largest exhibition in the Rocky Mountain region that provides a gathering place for building and facility professionals to come together to exchange information and ideas,” said Mark Cramer, show manager for AFEC. “Each year, more than 100 exhibitors get to interact with hundreds of attendees to showcase their organizations and products, with the ultimate goal of improving the building industry.”

Conference seminar topics include discussions on energy management, lighting, HVAC, life safety, data center issues, management issues, and leadership. All conference seminars are approved for CPD, CFM, CE, CEU, and FMP points.

“The AFEC show is essential for helping engineers and managers with the learning curve associated with our positions,” said Mike Turzanski, director of CIS Property Management for Cushman & Wakefield. “The education is cutting edge and is produced by current industry experts. It’s the show to attend.”
