Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. has chosen the winners of its third annual Green Living Awards contest. Companies from across North America entered to win in 2015, submitting their most innovative projects using Bosch products. Judges ultimately chose the top three installations, recognizing the best installations of its HVAC products for the year.

The first place winner in the commercial applications category was Climate-Tech of North Ridgeville, OH.

Climate-Tech, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business operating in Ohio since 1972. The team installed four cascading Buderus GB162 Gas Condensing Boilers in a nearby commercial business plaza, achieving efficiencies up to 93%. That’s in addition to installing the Buderus MCM10 intelligent control system with the Multi-Cascade Module (MCM), which helped to simplify operating functionalities and improve efficiency. Plus, Climate-Tech also installed a Buderus SST150 indirect domestic water tank to provide domestic hot water.

Second place went to SMC Geothermal of Foxfield, CO. SMC Geothermal won second place for its large-scale project, installing 254 Bosch BP geothermal units in the residential complex Solaire Apartments in Brighton, CO.

Third place was awarded to American Geothermal Systems of Austin, TX. The company  took third place for its large-scale installation, outfitting a 138,000-sq-ft NetZeroEnergy storage building with 14 Bosch Greensource Model SM geothermal heat pumps.
