The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) is offering, at no charge, a beta exam in Infrared Thermography for Building Diagnostics. If the exam is validated, examinees with passing scores will qualify to receive an ASNT NDT Level II certification.

The exam will be offered at the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ, February 28, 2016.

ASNT NDT Level II candidates applying for certification must take both a general examination and a specific examination. The general exam will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The specific exam will follow from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The general exam and the specific exam will each have 100 questions and participants will have three hours to complete each exam, respectively.

To be eligible to apply for this beta exam and to earn certification, an applicant must have the appropriate, documented training and experience required for such certification.  Applicants must have at least 34 hours of training in IRBD and must have 1,800 total hours in method experience, based on actual hours worked in the method.
