Daikin announced that its MXS 2, 3 and 4-port multi-zone heat pumps have been redesigned to improve application flexibility and heating efficiencies. The MXS is ideal for light commercial applications, providing individual comfort for up to four zones using a single outdoor condensing unit. The company says the new MXS line has a greater maximum connected capacity than previous models, allowing indoor units of higher capacity to be connected. Installers can now accommodate higher potential loads per zone, providing greater comfort while taking advantage of building diversity. With the redesign also comes an increase in heating efficiency over previous models, with a maximum efficiency of up to 12.5 HSPF. Cooling performance is rated up to 18.9 SEER.
